Land Surveying History and Systems in Ohio
Recognition in Ohio is said to be more difficult than conducting surveys in other areas of the United States. The history of the topography of the area was in Ohio relatively early in the history of American land topography, and partly for this reason, there are several golf inventory systems in use in the state. In Ohio, an inspector must be between the points of more than a dozen different reference works, depending on the size of the state and in many areas, two or more systems have been used to study the Earth and the region itself. The investigation of what has Ohio relatively soon by the French began in 1669 and 1670. This region was disputed between French and English to French and Indian War, which ended in 1763, attributable to the entire sector in England. At that time, many large areas have been deployed in the region to pay the debts of the Penn family, the colony of Connecticut, the settlement of Virginia, the colony of Massachusetts Bay, and others. The British knew very little about this country because of its distance, so the more guesswork was involved in such operations. For this reason, overlapping most of the awards, adding to the legal problems almost from the beginning.
With the end of the Revolutionary War, the different colonies did in certain areas for the newly formed government, and the land is sold to pay war debts. The new government needs a way to get rid of inventory and land. From Ohio, was so near the western border, was proof to many studies, including nine major systems of the study and 46 children. In large studies in Ohio include the Ohio River Survey (LSMS the first survey), the Virginia Military Survey of Connecticut Western Reserve survey, between the Miami Rivers Survey, Miami River Survey, German States Military Inquiry in the south and east of the first major survey in the north and east of the main meridians first survey, poll, and Michigan. In reviewing the history, Ohio, is perhaps best known as the birthplace of the Public Land Survey System, which is still in use today is unknown. This system of sharing public lands in the municipalities of six miles to six miles. This would be in sections, each one mile square and divided by 640 acres. The first area in the national system of land surveying were studied in eastern Ohio, and work began in 1785 with a starting point, or intersection of the western border of Pennsylvania and the northern bank of the Ohio River.
Virginia Military Survey, which began in 1787, discussed the ins and sectors with limits of 100 to 15,000 hectares, was granted this land to Revolutionary War veterans at the base of range. land uses are not necessarily rectangular, but designed by the veteran, the best land available to join. More than 16,000 separate parcels for military research Virginia respondents in 23 countries located in the state, and is the only survey system in Ohio is not based on rectangular plots. Many other studies have been selling land in the area of Ohio, before and after a State of Ohio in 1803. In the area known as Ohio developed many systems in other studies, were used to divide the country again and again. Other investigations of the three, four, or six municipalities square miles investigation. For the survey in Ohio, is due to each of these investigations.
