Disaster Insurance Contract for 3 MIL 150 MDP

The government today announced an investment of three thousand 150 million pesos in 2012 to take out insurance with which to cope with disaster situations caused by weather.

The amount “triples” that intended for the same concept last year, said a statement from the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Rural Development, Fisheries and Food (SAGARPA).

“This year we have planned an investment of over two thousand 600 million pesos) of the federal government over the provision of 550 million pesos of the states, to have coverage up to 24 billion pesos to address the damages in the primary sector, “the ministry said.
